A sophisticated, user-friendly interface for an upscale timepiece marketplace

WatchBoss needed a 0→1 marketplace experience for high-end timepieces — with no existing design references to build from. The brief called for a product-led interface that put the watches front and centre, with full-screen imagery, rich detail views, and support for both light and dark themes.

My design process with this particular project was to embrace the luxury and the high prices of the watches.

I began by building a moodboard using Dribbble for visual direction and Mobbin for product reference — studying how luxury brands and premium eCommerce apps like Facebook Marketplace present high-value items. The first round of explorations didn't land with the client: "We need more lust, more luxury vibe." That feedback shaped the next iteration — new typography, a refined colour palette leaning into silver and gold tones, and a dual light/dark theme system that gave the platform the premium feel the brand demanded. Working directly with the CEO, I translated all requirements into high-fidelity wireframes ready for the development team.
